The only coffee grown in the United States. This coffee is
truly unique in flavor. Because it is grown in a soil rich
with volcanic ash, and is constantly soaked by seasonal rains
during a growing season that is almost year-round, this has
to be one of the premier coffees produced.
Grown on the highest slopes of the volcano Mauna Loa on the
Kona coast of Hawaii, our Kona coffee is medium roasted to
bring you the best possible flavor from the bean without interfering sharp tones from being overly roasted.
I used to think it a crime to dark roast the
Kona bean, because it was such a delicate, deliciously unique flavor.
Well, due to popular demand, I now have a French Roast Kona that is
absolutely delicious! Turns out you shouldn't talk smack about
something until you've tried it!
Unfortunately, as coffee beans roast, they lose moisture, therefore, weight.
Because it then takes more beans to make a pound, the price is higher for
the same weight of beans. A sad fact of life.
UPDATE - Once again we have the Kona bean
available. We are subsidizing the cost on this amazing coffee
simply because, as good as it is, I don't think any coffee is
worth $60.00/lb. Our current internet price for the
Extra Fancy Bean is surely one of the best prices available anywhere.
