At The
Colorado Coffee Exchange, we…
…search
the world over
for high quality arabica beans and roast them to perfection. But there’s
more to our coffee than just great taste. Many of our coffees are
certified by a recognized third party agency to be 100% organically grown.
This means our coffees are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides,
or chemical fertilizers that can potentially endanger the earth. Each year
our coffee buyer visits farms inspecting the harvest and building
relationships with the farmers who grow our coffee. It’s all part of our
dedication to pleasing coffee lovers, coffee farmers and even the animals
and birds that call these areas home.

At
The Colorado Coffee Exchange, we are proud of the fact that many
of our coffees are certified organic by independent parties. This
reflects our commitment to the delicate ecosystems of third world
countries, our customers' health, and to affecting social change
through active participation in the economics of the world's
second largest traded commodity--coffee.
Organic
coffees are grown without the use of the dangerous chemical
pesticides and fertilizers that are commonly used on large,
commercial plantations. The high altitudes at which coffee is
generally grown only increases the amount of damage that these
chemicals cause to the water supply of everyone downhill.
Organic
coffees are generally grown on small, family owned farms and under
diversified shade cover, the natural habitat of hundreds of
species of migratory song birds. These bird populations act as a
natural defense against many of the bugs and pests that can ruin a
coffee crop. In addition, the premium price that these hand
picked coffees demand allows generations of workers a stable
monetary return for their labor, despite the ever-changing price
of coffee on Wall Street.
These
benefits are only sustainable through active and rigorous
certification. We invite you to try our line of organic coffees
and taste the difference for yourself.

We
bring you the full spectrum of delicious coffee experiences, from light to
dark and mild to wild! From lightly roasted, brightly aromatic Fort
Collins Blend to the earthy richness of our own Goose
Blend, or the smoky intensity of our organic French Roast, there’s

Protect
the environment
Traditional coffee
farming methods promote the use of shade trees and interplanting of other
food and cash crops along with coffee. These practices make for healthier
soil, prevent water contamination and provide habitat for dozens of
species of migratory birds.Sustain
the farmer
One of the reason farmers choose organic is concern for their health and
that of their families. By supporting organics you help third-world
farmers protect themselves from the hazards of exposure to synthetic
pesticides and herbicides, while earning a premium price for their
organically grown beans.
Thanks
for making a difference for the environment.
